Motorcycle collision in Montrose

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a collision in Montrose this afternoon.Police believe the 30-year-old man had been travelling south on his Yamaha motorcycle on the Mt Dandenong Tourist Road around 4pm.

It's alleged the rider had clipped a car whilst driving through a sweeping bend before colliding with a Nissan X trail travelling in the opposite direction.Investigators said the Box Hill man was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital with serious injuries.

The 24-year-old female driver from Yellingbo and her passenger, a 59-year-old Mt Dandenong woman were not injured in the collision and are assisting police with their enquiries.
